What MarineOS does

1 · Identify

Decode any 12-character HIN or engine serial into a verified hull and powerhead spec — manufacturer, model, year, configuration, and known builder metadata, with a confidence score on every answer.

2 · Anchor to the original build

Per-hull capture of the manufacturer build sheet: hull, engine(s), factory options, dealer-installed options, and MSRP. The anchor that generic guides cannot see at the vessel level.

3 · Track every verified change

Append-only ledger of dealer- and OEM-verified events: repowers, electronics upgrades, warranty repairs, damage flags. Each event tagged with source channel and a confidence weight.

4 · Produce a verified value

Blend market comps with depreciated build value and verified change events to output a vessel-specific MarineOS Verified Used Boat Value, with an explicit confidence range a dealer, lender, or insurer can rely on.

5 · Embed where you work

One API. Drop the lookup and valuation widget into your DMS, POS, dealer website, or service-writer screen. No portal change, no extra login, no second tool to teach.

6 · Dealer-governed standard

We don't replace J.D. Power, ABOS / Price Digests, or Boats Group — we use them as inputs and add the vessel-specific configuration and change-ledger truth only the dealer channel can produce.

Why it matters now

New-boat units are down. Used-boat economics are decisive.

NMMA reports 2025 new-boat retail unit sales fell 8.8% year-over-year to 215,237 units. With new volume compressed, dealer P&L hinges on accurate trade-in valuation, F&I lender comfort, and lifetime service revenue — all of which require vessel-specific truth.
